SAMBA, Sept 15: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened at a meeting of representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and discussed the various issues regarding implementation of Jan Abhiyan Programme and upcoming back to village phase-III here at Conference hall DC office.
Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman, District Panchayat Officer, Piyush Dhotra, Block Development council chairpersons, Sarpanches and panches of Panchayats of District were present on the occasion.
During the meeting Block Development Council Chairpersons and Sarpanches projected various issues and appealed for early completion of the development works. District Development Commissioner while giving a patient hearing to all the issues sought the cooperation and synergy from the PRIs for the success of Jan Abhiyan Programme in the District. He exhorted upon all the members present in the meeting to make the Govt initiative a mass movement.
He laid maximum thrust on completion of already sanctioned projects in the District and assured that all the development works shall be taken up and completed very soon.
The PRI members sought release of MGNREGA payments, completion of development works, early execution of the sanctioned projects and other aspects of the government initiatives. |
