Jan Abhiyan: Awareness events, start of new works under B2V-1 & 2, Public hearing mark day 6

DODA, Sept 15: The Jan Abhiyan is receiving overwhelming response in Doda district as people are participating in large numbers in public hearings to project their grievances to the District administration form prompt redress of the same.
In this regard scores of individuals and deputations visited the DC office today wherein ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma chaired the public hearing, met the applicants and listened to their grievances.
During the public hearing many grievances were solved on the spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redress through an established tracking system.
Similarly, the District and sectoral officers are listening to the public grievances daily (except Wednesday) at Block and panchayat levels and documenting them.
Moreover, the departmental functionaries are also visiting their respective jurisdictions and listening to the grievances of the general public, and holding awareness Programmes to highlight the individual beneficiary schemes. As per the departments, new works of public importance have been taken up in many Panchayats under B2V-1 and 2 for which the Government of J&K has already sanctioned Rs 10 lakh in favour of each Panchayat.
District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode is closely supervising the day to day activities of Jan Abhiyan and is reviewing the status of grievances on a daily basis submitted by the designated team.
A monitoring cell has also been established in the DC office with a team to maintain and document the record of grievances on a daily basis.
