E-Stamping: Training for Stamp Vendors held in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Sept 15: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, who is also holding the charge of District Registrar, Registrations today inaugurated and presided over the training for the stamp vendors in the E-Stamping procedure.
The training was imparted by a team of trainers from the Share Holding Corporation of India Ltd. here at GDC Kishtwar. The training programme was conducted in light of the directions passed by the office of the Inspector General of Registration, Government of Jammu & Kashmir through the Commissioner of Stamps, Jammu & Kashmir.
State Taxes Officer, Mohammad Ashfaq, Inspectors of State Taxes Department, Trainers of Share Holding Corporation of India Ltd., Amit Bhat and Sahil Bhat and Stamp vendors from various tehsils of District Kishtwar attended the training session with due observance of COVID-19 protocol.
The chief guest stressed upon the trainees to minutely get the knowledge regarding the procedure for e- stamping which is going to be launched in the soon. State Taxes Officer informed that the stamp vendor License holders shall have to compulsorily switch to the new system which requires technical knowledge, computer know-how, printer, internet facility and other accessories. He further informed that they will be provided with their personalized IDs which will authorize them to collect Stamp Duty by the Central Record Keeping Agency. The new system will be very transparent and completely foolproof,
Besides , the Central Record Keeping Agency shall be responsible for providing software infrastructure in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners (Licensing Authority) Registrars, Sub Registrars and the Authorised Collections Centres which will be the point of contact for payment of Stamp Duty.
