RAJOURI, Sept 16: District Health Society Rajouri organized a blood Donation camp in collaboration with Nav Jeevan Nursing Home, here at Ward NO. 17.
District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh was the chief guest while Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sunil Sharma was the guest of honor on the occasion.
DDC lauded the efforts of Nav Jeevan Nursing Home in organizing the blood donation camp.
He also said Blood donation is a standout amongst the huge contributions that a man can make for society.
“The blood donation is not pernicious for the adults as the contributors body recovers in a couple of days, ‘’ he added.
He also appealed to the youth and NGOs to come forward and donate blood as there is always a requirement of blood due to different reasons.
Chief Medical Officers, Dr Sunil Sharma highlighted the importance of availability of safe blood and the need for gearing voluntary Blood Donation camps in the district.
He appealed to the people to voluntarily come forward for RAT COVID testing so that the chances of transmission can be mitigated.
The camp was organized following all the mandatory precautions like social distancing, wearing of masks and other measures in view of the COVID-19.
