Jammu, Sept 16: Yuva Rajput Sabha conducted series of meetings in border belt of Akhnoor and Chamb sector. Addressing various meetings of Rajput youth brethren in Akhnoor Kaleeth, Dounchak, Khour, Derian and border village Planwala, former President Rajveer Singh supported the causes of youth in this border belt and showed concern over the unemployment. He said most of the youth is physically fit and eagerly waiting for the recruitment in belt forces. Mobilizing the local youth to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh ji, Rajveer Singh described the Maharaja as great visionary reformist and able administrator the Dogra ruled state witnessed. Becoming Maharaja in 1925, Hari Singh focused his full attention towards the extension of educational institutions even in far flung areas. Opening of new twenty thousand schools, mandatory primary education, abolishment of Child marriage and Opening the door of temples for Dalits in Jammu and Kashmir were the main reasons to become him the popular Maharaja of Dogra dynasty.
