Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba honor meritorious students

Jammu, Sept 17: On the eve of “Vishwakarma Pooja Divas “ , Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba (PVS) J&K issued Appreciation letters to honour the meritorious Students in their respective classes in the chairmanship of Shashi Verma , President of the Sabha.
Total of 16 Students were honoured. Those who excelled in 10Th Class included : Suneha Verma from Mandal Phallain for 86% , Shuvam Verma from Samba for 92%, Karan Verma from Arnia for 91%, Tavishi Dalmotra from New Plot jammu for 98%, and Mohit Verma from Pargwal for 94.
Those who excelled in 12Th Class included : Tanish Verma ( Handicap) from Palli for 75%, Sarmohit Singh from Talab Tillo for 86%, Sunisha Singh from Talab Tillo for 86%, Harvanshi Verma from Sanjay Nagar for 79%, Mukesh Verma from Samba for 73% , Nishant from Digiana for 79%, Shruti Rehan from Talab Tillo for 83% and Riya Chalotra from Sumailpur for 81%. Each of the honoured was issued a “Certificate of Appreciation”. Shashi Verma, Prez of the Sabha applauded their hard work.
Earlier in the morning, Hawan Pooja was performed at various Vishwakarma Temples of the Jammu Province including at Bhagwati Nagar, Gurha Bakshi Nagar , New Plot, Mishriwala and Digiana Temples. Shashi Verma also demanded a gazetted Holiday on Vishwakarma Pooja Divas.
On this occasion, Balwant Kataria disclosed that such celebrations with big pump and show could not be conducted due to the restrictions imposed on account of outbreak of COVID-19. However, Vishwakarma sabha is going to send the appreciations by Registered post to each of the excelling students. He said such programmes go a long way in motivating and inspiring the youth for big achievements.
