GDC Paloura organises online Poster Making Competition

Jammu, Sept 17: Department of Environment sciences, Govt. Degree College Paloura, Mishriwala, Jammu organised an online Poster Making Competition on the occasion of WORLD OZONE DAY on the theme ‘Ozone for Life’. The event was organised by Dr. Pinki Manhas, HOD, Environmental Science Department and Prof. Archana Sharma under the overall Supervision of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college. About 66 students from the different colleges participated in the competition. Miss Savi Rajput of GDC Samba Succeeded to clinch first prize, whereas second prize was secured by Mr. Aniket Gupta of GDC Udhampur (Boys) and third prize was bagged by Miss Ramni Devi of GCW Kathua. The Consolation prize was awarded to Miss. Samriti of GCW Kathua. The adjudicators of the programme were Dr. Nazia Rasool, Course Co-ordinator, Cluster University Jammu, Prof. Harmanmeet kour, HOD Env. Sciences, GCOE Jammu and Dr. Mosmi Raina, Assistant Professor Env. Sciences, GDC Samba. Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the EVS Department and opined that organising such events in near future will help a great way in solving issues related to the Environment.
