Inter-zone district level Volleyball competitions held at Reasi

REASI, Sept 17: After successful completion of Inter-zone District Level Competitions in Football, Cricket and Kho Kho events, Department of Youth Services and Sports Reasi today kick started the 4Th event Inter-zone Volleyball Tournament, here at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium (Reasi).
The tournaments were played under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Reasi Indu Kanwal Chib as per annual activity calendar of the department circulated from the office of Director General Youth and Sports J&K Ut Dr. Saleem UR- Rehman.
Chief Medical Officer Reasi Dr. Rajiv Sharma was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Volleyball tournament. While interacting with the players, he advised the players to take all necessary measures for protection against Covid-19. He asked the players to wear facemasks, sanitize their hands before and after the match and maintain social distance.
District Youth and Sports Officer, Subash Chander Sharma gave details about the tournament.
In the first match Arnas team beat Chassana team by 2-0. Shushil Thakur was declared the man of the match. The second match was won by Mahore Zone by beating Reasi Zone by 2-0. Imran and Mushtaq both were declared men of the match. The 3rd match was played between Pouni and Arnas in which Arnas won by 2-0 and the last match was played between Arnas and Mahore in which Arnas won the match by 2-0.
Rakesh Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Akshay Vashist, Rahul Jangyal, Ajay Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Davinder Kour, Asha and other officials were also present.
