Block Diwas held across seventeen blocks of Doda

DODA, Sept 17: The Block Diwas- under Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim witnessed enthusiastic participation of locals across the seventeen blocks of this District. The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode.
Youm-e-Block events were held at each designated location, where the teams of District administration along with the frontline field functionaries delivered varied service to the people and listened to their grievances.
Several demands and problems were solved on the spot by the respective departments.
The DDC attended the Block Diwas in the four blocks of the Gandoh Sub division - Gandoh, Chilli, Changa and Jakyas. He interacted with PRIs, and listened to the issues of scores of deputations’ and individuals, of which most of the grievances were resolved on the spot. The rest were documented by the respective department for prompt redressal in the upcoming days.
Meanwhile, the departments put up stalls showcased their services, disseminated awareness about various individual beneficiary schemes.
At Gandoh the DDC handed over Domicile certificates to the concerned individuals, power tillers to the eligible beneficiaries on 50% subsidy basis provided by the Horticulture Department.
The Agriculture and allied departments registered the left out beneficiaries under KCC and PM-KISSAN, while the health department registered the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme. On the spot disbursement of assistance under KCC were also done by the Bank, soil health cards and MGNREGA job cards were also distributed among the beneficiaries, besides the Social Welfare Department conducted the registration of left out individuals under various pension schemes.
Similar events were also held in other Blocks of the District at the designated locations with enthusiastic participation of locals.
ADC Doda and ADC Bhaderwah also visited many blocks to take the first hand appraisal about the grievances raised by the people and services being provided to them during the Jan Abhiyan.
