Jammu, Sept 17: National Awami United Party National President Sandeep Singh has demanded and appealed Jammu and Kashmir Union territory administration headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to reimpose lockdown of minimum 15 days in Jammu and Kashmir as the coronavirus cases soared, and make a strong strategy to control the spread of COVID-19 (Cronavirus) cases in Jammu and Kashmir, following a sharp rise in district wise tally of infection cases. Union territory adminstration should also forward a proposal to Central government to reimpose a lockdown in J&K as the infection cases rised.
According to district wise tally, highest coronavirus infection cases increasing day by day after area wise rapid testing. He further said that the administration including police department should take strong steps, measures and dictate the general public to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the health department that face masks will be mandatory for people coming out from their homes,using public transport, shopping or visiting any place. If a person does not wear a mask should face a penalty.Physical distancing norms is very important this time and we should not be careless and should protect ourselves, family and others against the spread of this World wide Coronavirus Pandemic. Mr Singh further appealed Union Health Ministry to issue direction to J&K Health Department to recruit more health workers, doctors and paramedics as the various health institutions are without staff.
