BJP MPs maintain criminal silence over worsening Covid situation in Jammu
9/17/2020 11:39:01 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 17: Taking serious note of shortage of oxygen in Jammu’s premier health institute-Government Medical College, former chief minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah had raised this issue in the Lok Sabha but Jammu’s representatives have yet not uttered even a single word about worsening conditions of health sector.
It appears that BJP leaders are very much confident that in-case they or their family members would be infected with Coronavirus, they would get VIP treatment in Narayana hospital so they are least concerned about prevailing ‘anarchy’ in all health institutes of Jammu province.
There is strong resentment among people of Jammu against the attitude of BJP’s MP who could not spare time to raise the issue of prevailing situation in Jammu province where deaths related to Coronavirus have been increasing with every passing day.
Session of the Parliament was started on Monday and for the last four days Jammu’s representatives have not raised issue of increasing Covid deaths in this region now they have shown any concern about manifold increase in positive cases.
On the very first day of the Lok Sabha session, Dr Farooq Abdullah had expressed grave concern over the shortage of oxygen in Jammu hospitals, said that situation was reportedly quite worrisome particularly in the wake of alarming spike in COVID 19 cases during the past one week.
Dr Farooq said, “As per media reports, the situation in Jammu Hospitals is worrisome.
Reportedly hospitals managing COVID 19 cases are facing acute shortage of oxygen thereby putting the lives of critical corona virus patients at risk. It is distressing to know that nothing substantial is being done to alleviate the problem”.
Credible sources said that family members of the patients infected with the virus and admitted in different hospitals have approached BJP leaders for help but nothing has been done so far.
