Reasi, Sept 19: The residents of Pouni tehsil of District Reasi thanked Editor Early Times for highlighting their issue of road as the Chief Engineer of PWD (R&B) taking the cognizance of the report had directed the XEn Reasi to prepare proposal of road as soon as possible so that work might be started at the earliest.
As per Back to Village programme, the Chief Engineer PWD Ashok Kikloo had visited various districts to review the development projects including Samba, Udhampur, Ramban and Reasi. During his visit, he held meetings with concerned officials and took stock of the development works. The Chief Engineer strictly directed them to use genuine material in road and other building constructions. He further asked the officials to prepare detailed proposals of road projects of their districts and asked them to send the same to his office as soon as possible.
During his visit in Reasi, he asked the concerned XEn to prepare a proposal of a road in Pouni Tehsil, which was highlighted during his visit. The local panch, Neelam Kumar Sharma and other residents of Pouni thanked the Editor-in-Chief Munish Gupta for highlighting the issue of roads in his newspaper, which had been lingering for the last many years.
