Jan Abhiyan: Chief Engineer PWD holds Jan Sunwai at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Sept 19: As a part of the Jan Abhiyan /Awami Muhim, Chief engineer Public Works Department Jammu Er. Ashok Kumar Kikloo today held an interaction with the Block Development Council chairpersons and other PRI members of the district here in the premises of Dak Banglow.
During the programme, the BDC chairpersons and sarpanches of 13 blocks apprised him of various problems concerning the payment of land and structure compensation.
They also demanded sanctioning of new roads and the completion of macadamization work before the onset of Winters.
The Chief Engineer redressed many grievances on spot and the rest were documented and forwarded to concerned XENs for redressing the same before the start of the B2V3.
He also directed Executive Engineers to identify the feasible works in each block which can be completed during 21 day Jan Abhiyan and ahead of B2V-3.
He also stated that all the pending works will be taken up and completed in a stipulated time period.
Superintending Engineer PWD (RnB)Circle Doda Er. Nasir Hussain Zargar, EXn PWD Division Kishtwar Er. Romesh Singh Jamwal, XEn PWD Div. Chatroo Mohinder Singh,I/C XEn Div Marwah Mohammad Aslam lone(AEE),the BDC chairpersons, PRI members of various blocks besides prominent citizens of District Kishtwar remain present on the occasion.
Later Chief Engineer held a meeting with the contractors and officials and asked them to maintain the quality of work and ensure timely completion of works undertaken by them.
