SCCU establishes ‘Help Centers’ for senior citizens

Udhampur, Sept 19: A number of senior citizens across the district are facing hardships especially during corona period to get their matters especially the various benefits as per social security schemes of the government. Senior Citizens Club (Registered) Udhampur is working as a bridge between district administration and senior citizens to provide solace at both ends.
The old age people have been asked by Social Welfare Department to fulfil various requisite formalities to get their old age pensions. This was stated by Mahadeep Singh Jamwal President Senior Citizens Club (Registered) in a press conference flanked by S/sh. Raj Guru Gen-Secretary and Sham Lal Gupta Joint- Secretary of the Club. Jamwal told that Club has established ‘Help Centers’ in Udhampur, Ramnagar and Chenani to assist such people who are not in a position to visit the DSWO or various Banks for the needful. Such people are appealed and apprised that they can contact on cell numbers 9419162404, 9419272416, 9419158201, 9906013394 at Udhampur, cell numbers 9419879417, 7889690398, 9469156406, 9596861450 at Ramnagar unit of SCCU and cell number 9682174748, 6005170218 at Chenani. The Club has managed the net work through young volunteers to reach such needy people to address their issues. The SCCU is in close liaison with DSWO Udhampur and is doing its all possible efforts to ease both DSWO as well as elders so that various schemes of the government reach to the needy at their door step.
