SUNDERBANI, Sept 19: A junior Agriculture Extension Assistant (AEA) of Department of Agriculture has been given the charge of this tehsil in the Rajouri district with the senior one being forced to bite the dust and work under the junior colleague.
Sources told Early Times that according to seniority list Davinder Jandial should have been assigned the charge of AEA Sunderbani. Instead of this Vinod Kumar has been assigned the charge. This is despite the fact that Vinod is very junior to Davinder in the department but still then is enjoying the elevation.
“The post of AEA was vacant for a long time and the charge of same was assigned to a Subject Matter Specialist (SMS). Since the SMS has been deputed to his original place of posting at Nowshera the post of AEA became fully vacant. The junior most AEA has been assigned the charge of the department at Sunderbani,” said sources.
Sources said that some of the officers of the department want to run the department on their own wishes and whims and according to their own style of working. A senior officer on the condition of anonymity said that since the matter has been raised he would ensure that justice is done and that charge is assigned to the senior official. |
