Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 20: A complainant has allegedly accused the police of taking no action on the FIR lodged in one of the police stations falls within Satwari-RS Pura range. He alleged that police have said that a top BJP leader has asked them not to take action in the matter against the accused.
The victim, Sourbh Sharma said that the some goons had attacked him last month thereby he had lodged a FIR with the concerned police station but police adopted soft stance against the culprits while lodging FIR as normal sections were imposed against them.
He said that it has been more than a month that no arrest has been made by the police. “I visited Police Station number of times and I was told that they can’t take action as there is pressure from a political party of the UT, who had asked them not to take action in the case,” he alleged.
He further said that as per FIR copy given to him, the different sections have been motioned which don’t pertain to the offense, which clearly shows that police played foul play in this case.
He appealed to the LG to intervene into the matter and urged him to direct the police higher authority for the action. Meanwhile, despite repeated contact to the concerned officials, they didn’t respond for the version.
