GDC Vijaypur organizes online programme

Jammu, Sept 21: Govt. Degree College, Vijaypur organized a “National level online quiz competition on Environmental Studies” aiming to create a general awareness about the environment in this pandemic situation.
Students and research scholars from various parts of the country participated in the quiz competition. The first position was secured by Agamya of Cluster University, second position was secured by Rajat Sharma of Stephens College of Nursing and the third position was shared by Cadet Tanu of GCW Gandhinagar Jammu, Poonam Sharma of BMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Jammu and Samriti Sharma of University of Jammu.
E- Certificates were awarded to the winners of the competition. The competition was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch and the programme was conducted by Dr. Mohd Yousuf Rather. The organizing committee comprised of Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof. Anil Bhagat.
The whole event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. In her address, she congratulated all the participants and organizers of the competition and also stressed on the need of generating awareness about the environment. Further, she said that each and every citizen of the country should be educated about the adverse effects of our activities on environment. She also proposed that the environment awareness programmes targeted on every section of society should be conducted on regular basis.
