Jan Abhiyan witnesses series of activities across Kathua on day 12

KATHUA, Sept 21: ‘Jan Sunwai’ and ‘Jan Adhikar’ proceedings were held in all blocks of Kathua district on the 12th day of the three week Jan Abhiyan campaign.
At block level Jan Sunwai camp was organised at Block Headquarter Dhar Mahanpur of Basohli which was presided over by the local BDO, Sheetal Chaudhary.
BDC Chairperson Ushma Devi, PRI members and individuals put forth their grievances and demands. The demands including road connectivity, augmentation of water supply and provision of health centre was chiefly highlighted during the camp.
The BDO gave a patient hearing and maximum issues were redressed on the spot with intervention of the concerned departmental functionaries.
Stalls of different departments viz Horticulture, Agriculture, Social Welfare, ICDS, Education and Bankers were also installed to educate people about schemes and programmes offered by the departments.
At Billawar, Jan Adhikaar camps were organised at Dher and Dharamkote Panchayat where Tehsildar distributed 517 Domicile Certificates, 40 RBA, 35 SC, 15 OBC and 225 Income certificates to the applicants.
At Bani, Tehsildar, Shiv Kumar held series of Jan Adhikaar camps in hilly and remote panchayats of Sandroon, Bhandar, Sandhi, Fatehpur and Sitti and distributed hundreds of Domicile and other certificates at the doorsteps of the people.
At Basohli, Tehsildar Aman Anand held a Jan Adhikaar camp at Hatt Panchayat of block Bhoond. After on spot scrutiny of documents 175 Domicile Certificates, 235 category certificates, 92 Income certificates were issued on spot by the Revenue Department.
