Ex-MLAs call on JKAP President Bukhari

JAMMU, Sept 21: Ex-MLA Chenani Fakir Nath and Ex-MLA Hiranagar Prem Lal Sagar who recently joined Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) called on party president Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari to discuss issues of the Scheduled Caste community issues.
In a statement to the press, both the prominent SC community leaders were accompanied by the Party’s Provincial President Manjit Singh when they met Altaf Bukhari here at his residence in Jammu.
During interaction with the Party President, both the leaders have expressed their concern over under development in areas of the Scheduled Caste population.
The SC community needs support from the Govt for their upliftment socially and economically, the leaders appraised Altaf Bukhari.
They said that reservation in promotion to the officers and employees of Schedule Caste in Jammu and Kashmir has also been denied.
They said that for last seven decades, they have faced discrimination and political backwardness. “We have joined the Apni Party because of its clear vision and commitment towards the neglected section of society,” said both the leaders.
On this, Apni Party President, Altaf Bukhari assured them that he will highlight their genuine demands for redressal of the issues.
Bukhari said that the Apni Party does not discriminate between the people on caste, creed, region or religious basis.
“Party will stand with the neglected section of the society and will help for their social and economic upliftment in Jammu and Kashmir,” Bukhari said.
Meanwhile, Provincial President Manjit Singh appraised Altaf Bukhari about many issues highlighted by the both the Ex-MLAs.
