After cricket scam reminder, Dr Abdullah talks ventilators!
9/22/2020 12:34:06 AM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Sept 21: Even as the National Conference patron and Member Parliament, Dr Farooq Abdullah had pledged to “fight for the cause” of the so called Gupkar Declaration, the veteran politician has suddenly started talking about hospital ventilators since the day he was served a fresh notice into the multi-crore cricket scam.
To the surprise of many, Dr Farooq Abdullah, talked things like ventilators at the Parliament session.
It is pertinent to mention that for the last few weeks, Dr Abdullah had been campaigning for the so called restoration of the Article 370 through his “Gupkar declaration.”
But the NC veteran has been maintaining a “low profile” since the day he was served a notice into for filing response to a plea by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged multi-crore J&K Cricket Association fund misappropriation case.
Pertinent to mention that in July 2017, the CBI filed charge-sheet before the CJM Srinagar in the case for charges of criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust under the RPC against Farooq Abdullah, the then president of JKCA, Muhammad Saleem Khan, the then general secretary, Ahsan Ahmad Mirza, the then treasurer and Bashir Ahmad Misgar, an executive in the J&K Bank. Dr Farooq Abdullah has gone so silent on the so called Gupkar declaration that, in the Parliament session, he raised questions on issues like shortage of ventilators in hospitals. “Notice issued in the cricket scam has cut Dr Abdullah to his size and there’s no doubt in that,” said a political analyst.
It was reliably learnt that after getting the notice in the cricket scam, Dr Abbullah told his close aides that it was better to forget the “Gupkar declaration.”
It is pertinent to mention that Dr Abdullah was released from house detention earlier this year after his secret talks with the former spymaster AS Dulat.
Dr Farooq had initially said that he would not talk about politics but in the month of August 2020, he suddenly started talking about the so called Gupkar Declaration, till he got reminded of the cricket scam.
Despite repeated attempts, Dr Abdullah was not available for comments.
