| Citizens Forum appeals LG to give extension to retiring doctors | | |

Jammu, Sept 22: Citizen's Forum sought the attention of LG Manoj Sinah that the worst medical condition of GMC Jammu is due to political interference only. Last year in the beginning of the Covid threat Citizen's Forum had written a letter to former LG G C Murmu that the Medical staff , Doctors and Paramedics, who are retiring should be given one year extension to continue to meet the shortage of doctors and paramedics and with projects started by them to complete as was done by Punjab Government. Our suggestion was being considered but interference to adjust blue eyed Doctors at higher places is the present devastation of GMC Jammu.
R K Chadha President Citizen's Forum said he had written a welcome letter to LG. Manoj Sinah on the first day of his arrival in UT requesting that political interference has spoiled development and working of Jammu Administration. The results 3.5 lakh Kanal encroached , out of 80000 crores economic package only 35000 crores spent that too is questionable. Medical Facilities and education is the most sufferers.
Chadha further said we dont have hospitals to meet the corona threat. Rs. 5 lakh insurance for 20 lakh families , where they will get the treatment as 5 lakh is too small an amount for big hospitals where minor ailment bill comes to lakhs of rupees. We need a big paid hospital run by the Government like it was Chopra Nursing Home.
