MSK Kishtwar celebrates Poshan Maah at AWC Bimarnag

KISHTWAR, Sept 22: District level Centre For Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra today organised an awareness programme on importance of Poshan Maah here at AWC Bimarnag.
While addressing the participants, the MSK team emphasized the importance of nutrition and especially drew attention of the participants towards its role in helping children and students to attain their optimum potential.
They also sensitized the participants about how the Rashtriya Poshan Maah helps in the early identification of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) ,the timely initiation of treatment and minimizing the risk of complications.
They also threw light on breastfeeding, benefits and the importance of hygiene for nutritional health.
Information related to various women welfare schemes was also given to the participants.
Programme was attended by AWWs, Anganwadi Helpers besides other participants.
