Inter zone tournament: U 17 Badminton competitions start in Reasi

REASI, Sept 22: After completion of four District level events in Football, Cricket, Kho Kho and Volleyball inter zone District level tournament in Badminton under -17 was started, here at HSS Girls.
The tournament is being organised as a part of Annual calendar of activities by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi in compliance to the directions of Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K and with the consent of Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib.
Assistant Development Commissioner, Dr. Anirudh Rai was the chief guest at the inaugural session, which was also attended by District Youth Services Sports Officer, Subash Chander Sharma and Block Development Officer Sanjeev Sharma.
The teams from zone Mahore, Pouni, Reasi and Arnas are participating in the tournament.
In doubles First, match Zone Reasi won by defeating Zone Mahore by 2-0. Second match was played between Zone Pouni and Zone Arnas where Pouni won the match by 2-0.
The final match in the Double category was played between Zone Reasi and Zone Pouni and won by the latter by 2-0.
Meanwhile, in single Under -17 first, the match was played between Zone Mahore and Zone Reasi and the former won by 2-0.
Under-14 category singles First, the match was played between Zone Reasi and Zone Pouni in which Reasi won by 2-0.
Officials of the matches were Ashok Kumari, Saroj bala, Varinder Singh,Asha sharma, Balbir Singh, Jagdave singh,Ankush Sharma,Vinod Singh, Mohammad Arif, Anoop Jyoti, Sahil Sharma, Vishal Dubey, Neha Sharma, Madhu Rani were present.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Anirudh emphasized that these tournaments are very helpful for the physical and moral strength of the students. He also stressed on Covid-19 by addressing every student to maintain and improve immunity and usage of Sanitizers, Face masks and maintaining social distance.
