| SIF urges LG to initiate precautionary measures amid spike in corona | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 22: All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) convened an emergency meeting of its core committee members via video conferencing under the chairmanship of Advocate Amrik Singh and shared by general secretary Surjit Singh.
At the outset of the meeting the forum expressed their worries over the escalation of day to day Covid-19 Virus which is the great challenge and life threat to human beings.
It urged upon the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to direct the UT administration to take necessarily precautionary measures in this regard.
The forum elaborated that some necessarily steps are required to be taken forth with which include nukkad heath camps be installed at village and wards level for checking of the covid virus and all the Panchs and Sarpanchs and Municipal Councilors be involved to educate the people about this deadly virus. Further all the water reservoirs and overhead tanks required to be cleaned up.
The forum explained that in past during lockdown period there was a move of sanitisation at wards and panchayat level which was carried out but we are sorry to point out that as soon as lock down lifted and impact of corona virus increased; all the sanitization system disappeared without any trace.
