Mayor JMC kick starts macadamization works

Jammu, Sept 22: Continuing the drive to provide better development & Civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of Jammu city and kick started the mega blacktopping works in the Jammu City. S. Sucha Singh Councilor of ward no.31, Parmod Kapahi Councilor of ward no.14 Chief Whip General House JMC (BJP), Satpal Karlupia councilor of ward no.32, Mohan Lal Jogi & other prominent inhabitants of said wards, Ashok Kumar Kikroo Chief Engineer, Balbir Singh I/C Superintending Engineer Public Works Department, Jammu, Ashu Chowdhary concerned contractor were also present there.
Mayor was told that this project is started at the estimate cost of Rs. 8 crore 45 lacs only which has been started from fourth bridge Bhagwati Nagar upto Revenue Complex Office Gole (Talab Tillo) which includes proper black topping of the roads & its partition with suitable dividers, construction of footpaths for the pedestrians and other allied works.
Mayor said that in order to minimize the huge rush and traffic congestion on this busy road having number of important Govt. offices in the area and on the demands of the general public, he appreciated the PWD for start of this precious development work which was lying pending since long.
