| Police rescue 14 bovines, vehicle seized | | | SAMBA, Sept 22: In continuation to its drive against bovines smuggling, District Police Samba successfully foiled attempt to smuggle bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba by rescuing 14 bovines at naka Mansar Morh, Samba.
A Police Party of Police Station (PS) Samba while performing vehicle checking duty at Mansar Morh, Samba intercepted a vehicle bearing Regd No JK02AH-5977 which was moving towards Valley via Mansar-Udhampur road.
During checking of the vehicle, 14 bovines were found laden without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No 255/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation taken up. |
