DDC Ramban reviews performances of banks, status of priority sector loans

RAMBAN, Sept 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of banks and officers of civil departments to discuss the achievements of the banking sector in deposits and advances.
The meeting was attended by ACR Dhirender Sharma, AGM RBI, Vikram Dhaanda, Lead District Manager, Shakeel Ahmed Bhat, Director RSETI Subash Chander, DGM-NABARD, Arushi Sharma, CAO, CHO, DSHO, bankers and others officers of line departments.
It was informed in the meeting that district has recorded Rs 1566.04 crore deposits and 638.22 crore advance till June, 2020 , while the CD Ratio of district has been dipped by -0.48% and stands at 40.75% due to the limited economical activities during COVID-19 lock-down.
The DDC directed the bankers to redouble their efforts and initiate concrete steps for lending towards priority sectors to achieve 100% targets besides improving the CD ratio of the district from 40.75% to national target of 60%.
He directed the bankers to ensure 100% financial inclusion of masses under different Social Security Schemes (SSS) of GOI including, MUDHRA, Atal Pension Yojna besides effectively implementing PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, PMAPY besides providing loans under other financial assistance schemes to people for establishing their business units.
During the meeting implementation of KCC scheme was prominently discussed and the DDC sought cent percent coverage under the scheme, especially the farmers registered under PM KISAN scheme in the District to put it on saturation.
The DDC directed the SDMs of Banihal and Ramsoo to identify a suitable land for the construction of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (R-SETI).
AGM, RBI informed the meeting that the Government of India has re-classified the Micro, Small or Medium enterprise on the basis of its investment in plant and machinery or equipment besides the turnover of business establishment.
He also informed that the Government also enhanced the amount of MSME and other priority sector loans.
