| Illegal structure on forest land demolished | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 23: A team of Forest Field staff of Jammu Forest Division in an anti-encroachment drive demolished one under construction structure on Forest Land falling in village Dumani Forest Compartment No. 2/N Nagrota-I Block of Jammu Forest Range which was illegally constructed by one Rashid Mohd S/o Nek Mohd R/o Dumani.
Under the supervision of Alok Maurya, DFO Jammu a team of forest officials led by Vijay Khosla Range Officer Jammu, along with Vinay Khajuria Forester carried out the eviction drive.
Alok Maurya mentioned that taking advantage of night time encroacher raised illegal structures on Forest land in Compartment No: 2/N of Village Dumani. In the operation the illegal under construction structure on forest land were demolished and 2 Ha area located was vacated. Request was also made to the Police for lodging of FIR against the culprits.
Conservator of Forests, East Circle Samuel Changkija appreciated the efforts of the officials and directed to take all the measures to prevent encroachment on Forest land. |
