Online awareness programme on mediation concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 23: A two-day long online awareness programme on mediation conducted for the Judicial Officers and Lawyers of the Union Territory of Ladakh, under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice Gita Mittal Common High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chairman J&K High Court Mediation & Conciliation Committee, was concluded today. Justice Tashi Rabstan, while addressing the resource persons and the participants on the concluding day said that with the volume of knowledge and experience the resource persons are endowed with, even two days time is not enough for a thorough insight into the topic of mediation and soon a forty hours training programme will be scheduled for the participants, as mediation being one of the most important means of Alternate Dispute Resolution. The programme was also attended by Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal and Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, members J&K High Court Mediation & Conciliation Committee. The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Leh R S Jasrotia was the coordinator for the two days programme. The resource persons for the two days on line awareness programme consisted of JP Sengh (Senior Advocate) who has been the founder Organizing Secretary of Samadhan, the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Veena Ralli (Advocate) who is the current Organizing Secretary of Samadhan, the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre and leads over 200 empanelled mediators, Sumit Chander (Advocate) is also an trained mediator and Mithali Gupta (Advocate) with specialization in Arbitration, Commercial and Sports Law. |
