Despite claims Covid deaths going unabated in Jammu
9/24/2020 1:06:10 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 23: Despite tall claims of the authorities, deaths due to Covid-19 going unabated in Jammu region during the last over 25 days. On Wednesday, as many as 16 deaths were reported from Jammu province.
On August 31, total death toll in Jammu province was 66 but this number has reached to 269 on September 23 which is a clear indication that death rate has increased manifold in this region to mismanagement of those at the helm of the affairs.
Ironically from the first case of Covid positive patients was recovered in Jammu on March 8 and from that day to August 31 only 66 Corona patients had lost their lives in 10 districts of Jammu province but in the 23 days of the September month this number has surged to 269 which is a warning signal.
After the visit of the Centre's team of experts, higher-ups in the health department are claiming that the system has been streamlined to contain Covid deaths but growing numbers are countering all such tall claims of the authorities.
Although the situation is bad in all the 10 districts of Jammu province, it appears to be worse in Jammu district where 100 patients have lost their lives in the month of September only.
On August 31, the death toll in Jammu was just 44 but on September 23 this number reached 146 which added worries of the authorities as well as local people.
However, one thing is encouraging that today 230 cases were reported positive in Jammu district but numbers of patients recovered from Corona virus were 1069 which is a very positive trend.
