Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said that the Government of India (GoI) needs to show a firm political will to create pathways in order to make J&K similar to other states in the country.
Hearing a number of public delegations at the party office in Srinagar, Bukhari said a plethora of problems are plaguing the apparatus of governance in J&K which can only be addressed by a strong political will at the top level of Country’s leadership. “Since there is no elected government in place, the problems faced by the people especially those related to the unemployment of educated youth in J&K have a serious and negative impact on the overall psyche of citizens. This alarming situation needs an immediate redressal,” Bukhari observed.
Bukhari said that the government of India needs to come forward with some concrete confidence building measures starting with restoration of Statehood that can instill a hope and address the alienation among people. “J&K’s disillusioned youth need a fresh start! The idea is to help build a working trust by addressing important issues which includes redressal of mounting unemployment. Our youth is talented and they just need a hand holding to prove their mettle,” Bukhari observed. On this occasion, a prominent high court lawyer Sajad Ibrahim Wani joined the Apni Party. He was welcomed by Bukhari and other party leaders into the party fold.
