9th Annual General Meeting of CVPPPL held through virtual mode

JAMMU, Sept 24: The 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited was held here on Thursday under the Chairmanship of CVPPPL Chairman, Suresh Kumar.
The Annual Account for the year 2019-2020 was also adopted in the AGM.
The virtual meeting was attended by the Board members -Principal Secretary JKPDD GoJK, Rohit Kansal; Director (Finance) NHPC, M.K Mittal; MD, NHDC A.K. Mishra and MD CVPPPL, A.K.Choudhary along with GM (Finance) K.K.Goel, & Company Secretary S. Anand, besides representatives of NHPC, JKSPDC, PTC (India) Ltd and CA Raj.K.Mehra, Statutory Auditors through video conferencing.
The meeting was informed that after investment approval & subsequent laying of the foundation stone of Kiru Hydro Electric project by the Prime Minister, all the three packages i.e Civil, HM & E&M of Kiru HE Project have been awarded during the year and construction works have commenced. These projects are going to help tiding the energy crisis to a larger extent.
During the year 2019-20, HM Package of Pakal Dul HE Project was awarded and works of the Project progressed well. It is pertinent to mention here that the project envisages construction of 167 m high Dam, an underground power house with 4 units of 250 MW each. Further HRT-TBM package of the project has been awarded on 03.07.2020. LTA agreement and Transmission service agreement has been signed between PGCIL and CVPPPL.
The Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited, a Joint Venture Company among NHPC Ltd, a Government of India Enterprise with a shareholding of (49%), JKSPDC (A GoJK Undertaking) shareholding of (49%) and PTC (India) Ltd with a shareholding of (2%) is entrusted with the implementation of four hydroelectric projects i.e Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW), Kwar (540 MW) and Dulhasti Stage-II (550 MW) HE Projects in Chenab basin.
