JMC augments fleet of Front End Loaders

Jammu, Sept 24: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has added another three number of newly procured Front End Loaders (ESCORTS make) in the scanty fleet of 6 number such machines.
Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy. Mayor, Poornima Sharma and Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Avny Lavasa (IAS) inducted these machines in the existing fleet of JMC in an inaugural function held at Manda Yard of JMC today. Mayor and Dy. Mayor in their addresses lauded the works being undertaken by Jammu Municipal Corporation towards betterment of Jammu City. Commissioner, JMC Avny Lavasa apprised Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Dy. Mayor Smt. Poornima Sharma that these three number Front End Loaders have been procured by JMC at a cost Rs. 58.98 lakhs and they shall augment JMC in a big way in clearing the garbage at conspicuous collection points well before noon everyday. It was also brought into focus that 02 No. Refuse Compactors of 14 cum capacity are under procurement and shall be part of JMC fleet soon. Mayor & Dy. Mayor expressed their optimism that JMC by doing multifarious activities like procurement of various garbage clearing/lifting machinery, beautification of Jammu City by way of installation of modern foundation systems at various rotaries of Jammu, open air gymnesiums in parks of various wards of JMC, development of various water bodies, etc.
