Farooq’s China talk
9/24/2020 11:45:27 PM
After turning irrelevant, National Conference president and former J&K chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has started talking about China.
Not many people were surprised when he stated that ‘Kashmiris today would like China to rule them.’ He can say anything to hog the headlines.
It seems that Dr Farooq has been unable to digest the fact that people of Kashmir didn’t show any sympathy when he and other mainstream leaders were arrested after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
Someone needs to remind Dr Farooq Abdullah that even today he is the Member of Indian Parliament and is enjoying all the privileges which have been provided by the Central Government. Despite that he is talking about China and its rule.
As on date he has no locus-standi as it has been proven beyond doubt that Kashmir centric leaders never enjoyed any support of people.
They were no leaders, during the past three decades they won the elections only due to people staying away from the election process due to the fear of Pakistan sponsored terrorists and the separatists.
After being exposed these leaders are trying to don the mantle of separatists and are out to create confusion.
Dr Farooq Abdullah by talking about China is once again trying to blackmail New Delhi and is trying to project the people of Kashmir as traitors. Kashmir centric politicians like Dr Farooq Abdullah have always propagated lies to remain in power and enjoy all the benefits.
Many Kashmir leaders after acting as stooges of Pakistan for many years are now invoking China to remain relevant as they have realized that they cannot befool people by showing them the dreams of Pakistan.
The NC president by playing China card is doing yet another disservice to the people of Kashmir. In a way he is trying to convey that Kashmiris are anti-nationals.
He needs to be reminded he is no one to talk on behalf of Kashmiri people, during the 2019 parliamentary elections, he secured nearly 10% votes and the leader who just gets few thousand votes can in no way be considered as the representative of the people.
Dr Farooq should realize that relations between India and China are very tense at present and anyone who supports an adversary especially during war time is a traitor and he can be punished for glorifying the enemy nation.
