DDC Kathua reviews progress of Aadhaar seeding

KATHUA, Sept 25: District Development Commissioner Kathua, O.P Bhagat today chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress in Aadhaar seeding of beneficiaries under various government schemes being implemented in the district.
The DDC took detailed review of the progress achieved under individual beneficiary oriented schemes related to RDD, Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture and School education department.
The meeting also held detailed deliberations on scheme wise progress like number of job cards, KCC, Ration Card, Pension cases updated with Adhaar, which also forms a key target of ongoing Jan Abhiyaan.
The DDC also impressed upon the concerned departments and banks to mobilize their field functionaries and sensitize beneficiaries about mandatory Aadhaar seeding to continue getting benefit of the schemes. He said linking of Aadhaar is imperative as it ensures effective and transparent implementation of these welfare schemes.
He laid special thrust on achieving 100% seeding of all individual beneficiary oriented schemes by 30th September. Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Narayan Dutt; CPO, Uttam Singh; DSWO, Abdul Raheem; DEPO Aruna Sharma; LDM Kathua and officers of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Agriculture attended the meeting.
