| Aditi Sharma extends support to demands of transporters | | |

Jammu, Sept 25: A delegation of large number of transporters visited the office of Aditi Sharma Senior BJP leader and Chairperson Aditi Welfare India Charitable Trust with their plight issues and problems related to their functioning. While expressing the sorrowful Plight of transporters they said that the circumstances have gone to the extent of closing their profession as it is now very difficult for them to continue with this profession. The transporters said that in 2017 passenger tax was revoked but it has been again implemented the reasons best known to the authorities. The token tax has been doubled, Insurance claims are not cleared and the insurance companies refuse to pay claims. The banks are pressing hard to liquidate the loan installements despite the fact that relaxation was announced by the finance Ministry because of COVID 19. No extension of vehicle validity period has been given. Showing the sympathy with the transporters for their genuine demands and issues a press conference was held in presence of the transporters so that through the media channel's the concerned authorities will look into the genuine problems of the transporters on priority bases. Meanwhile Aditi Sharma Showed solidarity and sympathy with the transporters for their genuine demands and assured them that she will submit and highlight the core issues of transporters with the concerned authorities and the Honble Lt.Governor Manoj Sinha. |
