JAMMU, Sept 26: The building of Panchayat Ghar Nallah of tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri has been crumbling but the concerned Sarpanch has not got it repaired till date.
Sources told Early times, the panchayat Ghar was constructed 15 years ago and till date no repair has been done due to which the walls have developed cracks, the plaster has been crumbling, doors and gate is lying broken making the building non usable.
They said that it is the duty of the concerned Sarpanch to carry out repair work in order to increase the strength of the building. Although he has financial authority to make decisions for the maintenance, he didn't take any initiative.
The local alleged that a few years ago, a work of construction of a room was sanctioned for panchayat ghar but the concerned ACD Rajouri diverted the fund to other work of road. Local residents demanded ACB inquiry. Panchayat Secretary Sushil Kumar, when contacted, said that repair work will be done soon. |
