NC leader lies to dad, party irked!
9/26/2020 11:55:46 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 26: In yet another case of embarrassment for the National Conference, a senior leader of the party lied to his father and other colleagues that he was flying out of Kashmir for some “emergency work” whereas he was seen holidaying.
Sources said the leader left Kashmir, when the NC was busy discussing the so called Gukpar Declaration.
Sources said on being questioned by the party colleagues for his absence, the leader told them that he had some “emergency work.”
But his pictures of air travel with a friend leaked on the social media putting the NC leader and his family in a tight spot.
Sources said the party leadership has sought explanation over such holidaying in such “crucial times.”
“Is this the time to go for holidaying or is it time for the party leadership to revive political activities? And why does he lie all the times about his secret vacations?” asked a politician on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said around a year ago also, the same leader had told a lie to his family and party colleagues about his travel abroad.
“He had told that he was going to meet his maternal relatives in Europe and but finally it got exposed that he was in the United States celebrating a wedding with his friend,” said a source.
Sources said the party leaders have decided to call on leader’s father, who is also a senior most leader of the same party.
“When the senior leaders of the party tell lies and give preference to their personal life over party affairs it doesn’t send a good signal among the cadres,” said one NC leader adding that the matter would be discussed at a high level meeting of the party.
Despite repeated attempts the said leader was not available for comments.
