Senior Citizens express concern on bad condition of GMC Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: Association for Welfare of Senior Citizens expressed serious condition of GMC Hospital. They said that the members of forum said that it seems there has been no improvement resulting that the public of Jammu especially COVID infected patients are still left to the mercy of God. In a recent case going virtual on social media shows a senior citizen patient stuck up in an ambulance outside GMC waiting for hour for admission even after being referred by DH Gandhi Nagar. A clear argument being by GMC doctors that patient bed not available. They further said that they understand that due to spike in COVID patients in Jammu there obviously the shortage of beds was expected but why and where the authorities had been sleeping and sitting with fingers crossed ? Why no preparation to create more beds facility when it was being done all over country, rather world over. They appealed to the Lt Governor and Advisors to take emergency measures to prepare more beds available in the spacious banquet halls lying vacant, or construct emergency shelter hospitals through Army on urgent war footing to save precious human lives in Jammu. And if required another lockdown for 15 days be imposed in Jammu province with people forced to strictly follow the precautions to restrict the spike of COVID.
