Jammu, Sept 26: Yoga is a philosophy for achieving purest form of self awareness, devoid of all thoughts and sensation. Yoga is a essentially spiritual its efficacy is in the management and prevention of diseases and provides relief from stressful psychological states. However, medical research in recent years has uncovered many physical and mental benefits that yoga offers as it helps to reduce depression, fatigue, pain, stiffness, sleep problem, memory loss, anxiety disorder, stress and health issues related to seasonal transition. Keeping this in mind, GDC Vijaypur collaborated with renowned Yoga therapist Ms Rachna Shah, Professionally Qualified Yoga Teacher with Master Degree in aayuryog from Gujarat University to organise a Free Online National Level Yoga Workshop on “How to maintain health during Seasonal Transition” in which she revealed secrets from Yoga and naturopathy to overcome various health issues arising due to seasonal transition especially in this pandemic situation. Students and faculty members of various Colleges and Universities participated with great enthusiasm, zeal and fervour. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College expressed her gratitude for the informative and innovative workshop in which she has shared her pearls of wisdom with the society as yoga is emerging as a widely practiced complementary and integrative therapy.
