Condolence meeting held for veteran cricketer

AKHNOOR, Sept 27: A condolence assembly of sportspersons was organized by Advocate Vishnu Kant Sharma, a veteran cricketer and senior executive of Akhnoor Sports Club to pay heartfelt condolences to Late Joginder Mangotra, a veteran cricketer of Akhnoor town. Veteran cricketers and contemporary sportspersons, executive members from Akhnoor Sports Club, Secretary, Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association were present on the occasion.
Praising Mangotra’s excellent sports skills in cricket, Vishnu Kant Sharma expressed deep shock and heartfelt condolence on his untimely demise and prayed to God to bestow peace to his noble soul and enough courage to the bereaved family to bear this shock. Sham Singh Langeh, an eminent sports promoter of Akhnoor and District Secretary, Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association also condoled the untimely demise of the eminent cricketer and prayed for peace to the departed soul in his heavenly abode.
Others present on the condolence ceremony included Deepak Mani, Corporator Akhnoor Municipal Corporation, Adv D P Gupta, Dr R C Kashyap, K K Sharma, Suresh Malhotra, Capt Jugal Gupta and a galaxy of sportspersons of the area.
