JAMMU, Sept 27: All Kashmiri Migrant Pandit Relief Holders Association (AKMPRHA) held a meeting related to problems faced by Kashmiri Pandit migrants particularly in employment avenues.
In the meeting while taking a dig at central and J&K government, the members said that the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) migrants are competing to get employment through SSB J&K but preference is being given to category person like SC, ST and RBA while general category persons like KP migrants were dropped despite having merit.
The meeting which was chaired by Incharge of Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders Association, Ajay Bhat said none of the Kashmiri Pandit is SC, ST and it is difficult for them to compete in future employments.
Meeting said that what steps have been taken by central and J&K UT Govt for General Category persons for employment.
Ajay Bhat appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lt. Governor of J&K to look into the matter so that the General Category persons also get employed.
Meeting also urged Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner to issue EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificates to Kashmiri Pandit youthg to help them in getting government jobs as all these unemployed youth have been born after mass migration out of valley in 1989.
