| Street lights, washroom non functional, RDD Mendhar in deep slumber | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch, Sep 27: Locals of Mendhar today snub officials of BDO Office Mendhar over the non functional of street lights installed in Mendhar Town' locals said that some of the lights have gone out of order and the concerned officials have failed to replace them.
Social Worker Er Mustaq Ahmed Jatt said that the streetlights worth lakhs of rupees were installed in the Mendhar Town' several years ago, but are not functioning. He said that RDD Mendhar has failed to undertake the maintenance of these lights. He said that from last many year he makes dozens of requests to RDD Authorities to replace these defunct streetlights, but everything goes in vain. Er Mustaq Ahmed Jatt further added that elected representatives of the area are not doing anything right for the betterment of people as everything is in worest condition, like drainage, washroom, parking & street lights. "It is astonishing that Mendhar Town' is alone Town' where there is no Sabazi Mandi and no butcher Khana and also lacking in every field. The washroom Near main" gate in Revenue Complex is also Non functional the washroom is constructed by RDD Authorities Mendhar. This clearly indicates that the RDD Authorities is heading towards corruption. People have voted them with some expectations, but they fail to represent the voice of the masses" he alleged and appeals the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to look in the matter for earliest redressal. |
