DDC Ramban presides Block Diwas programme at Gool

RAMBAN, Sept 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today visited Sub Division Gool and presided over a mega public outreach programme under Jan Abhiyan at Block Gool where people of all surrounding blocks highlighted their problems and developmental issues.
BDC, Chairperson Gool Shakeela Begum, BDC Chairman Gundi Dharam Javed Ahmed Manhas, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, SDM, Gool, Gias-Ul-Haq, CMO, Dr. Mohammad Fareed, Tehsildar Gool, XENs PWD, ALC and various district and sectoral officer besides PRIs and general public attended the Block Diwas programme.
Speaking on the occasion DDC focused on the aim of the conducting Jan Abhiyan is to improve service delivery and redressal of public grievances, during Awami Sunwai Muhim.
DDC directed the ACD to organize capacity building programmes for PRIs so that they can deal with guidelines in their day to day officials business. He also directed ACD to establish a helpline number to facilitate PRIs to deal with their official works.
He informed that to facilitate the Student of the district administration has directed the education department to start community classes besides intensifying virtual classes. He asked the PRIs to aware the public to ensure developmental works amid preventive measures being taken to tackle the COVID-19 spread.
He said that the government is committed to ensure development of every knoc and cornor of UT especially to rural areas besides strengthening the PRIs.
Responding to the portable water supply issues raised by the PRIs, DDC assured that all the areas would be covered under the Jal Jiwan Mission scheme. He directed the concerned officers to explore the possibilities to open Aadhar Centres in far flung blocks. He also asked the PRIs to work in coordination with government departments to develop their areas.
He assured the public that the administration would take up the issue with the government to create a Municipal committee at Gool.
During the public hearing DDC resolved many issues on the spot and the rest forwarded to the concerned departments for its redressal through an established tracking system.
DDC also distributed the Coffee table book, Domicile certificates, Income certificate and caste certificate among the beneficiaries. He also handed over the sports kits to local youth to promote sports activities in rural areas.
Various PRIs and individuals apprised the DDC about their issues faced by them including construction of bus stand in Gool, completion of roads, opening of State bank branch and Tehsil Social Welfare office in Gool, joint division for works department, Floriculture park at Gool, creation of revenue villages, upgradation of schools, food store, deployment of staff in Health and Education institutions, forest clearance for developmental projects, availability potable drinking water, land compensation, up gradation of roads, augmentation of power infrastructure, improvement of service delivery and other issues of public interest.
Public participated in the camps with enthusiasm and sought development of their areas besides apprising the officers about their grievances and sought early redressal.
