Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 29: A lady Sub Inspector in Kathua district, who lodged a complaint with the concerned SHO for the use of foul language against her by some person on social media, has alleged that the concerned officer has not taken her grievance seriously.
Sources told Early Times that some persons had used abusive language against a lady Sub Inspector in Kathua district on social media consequently the officer lodged a complaint against the person with a Police Station in Kathua range. She also submitted the screenshots to the investigating officer but shockingly no action was taken on the complaint and the anti social elements, who has been spewing venom against the women are continuing their tirade without any fear, they alleged.
“The matter is being taken lightly by the concerned SHO, who is being allegedly being pressurized to scuttle the investigation,” sources claimed.
“If police would show unprofessional behaviour with its own officer on the complaint lodged by her, then anyone can imagine what will be the fate of the common man,” they said.
The senior citizens of Kathua have appealed to the LG to take stern action against such officers, who are not discharging their duty properly. They also demanded action against anti-social elements on social media.
When Early Times contacted the DySP headquarter for his version, he said that he had taken note of the matter and investigation is going on. “Action against the culprits will be taken soon,” he added.
