Jammu, Sept 29: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said education imparted at early stages is pivotal and plays an indispensable role in shaping the future careers of students.
“Learning at the early stage builds a stronger base on which future endeavors in education can be built,” Kavinder Gupta said while releasing Volume-lll of IDPS CHRONICLE - monthly school newspaper of International Delhi Public School here today. ÌDPS Chronicle is the first school newspaper in whole Jammu & Kashmir.
The Former Deputy Chief Minister said that education in early years should be accompanied with inculcation of values and principles among the young children. Establishing knowledge-based society should go hand in hand with imparting education that is infused with the spirit of humanism and humanistic values, he added.
Expressing concern over the New Employment Policy 2020, Kavinder termed it as a revolutionary reform of the 21st Century. “The NEP 2020 will empower the youth, who will take the nation forward in the 21stcentury.
“The New Education Policy is such that it will make the teaching learning experience enjoyable for students and teachers. The gives ways for innovative activities, modern labs, placements, and many such features for bringing a landmark change in the education system. The NEP was not only a historic and holistic document, but for the first time, has been created as a reflection of aspirations of the parents, teachers, students and education experts, which aims to address the challenges for the coming generations,” Kavinder said.
The Former Deputy Chief Minister said the New Education Policy contains features of equity, quality, affordability, accountability and promotes individual development through experience-based education and logical thinking.
In his message to students, the former Deputy Chief Minister asked them to be forthcoming and strive for excellence in education. He asked them to work hard to achieve their goals and said that only those who work with honesty, dedication, efficiency and vision for progress, leave a mark on the society.
Congratulating the management for its unparalleled contribution in the field of education, the former Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of International Delhi Public School for being a frontrunner in providing quality education to the students and encouraging them to take up research activities.
