Bovine smuggling bid foiled in Rajouri's Khawas, 24 animal rescued

Rajouri, Sept 29: Police here in Rajouri district foiled a bovine smuggling bid on Tuesday and rescued 24 animals from the possession of two smugglers. Police said that a team from Khawas police post led by SI Sudershan Lal under the supervision of Station House Officer Budhal Som Raj and Deputy SP PC (OPs) Imtiyaz Ahmed was on routine patrolling in Bhela Keri area of Khawas when movement of two smugglers alongwith bovines were noticed and they were intercepted. Police team rescued 24 bovines from the clutches of smugglers who were arrested from the spot. Accused include Khadam Hussain and Naseeb Mohammad, sons of Kesar Din residents of Gundha Khawas. A case in FIR No 80/2020 u/s 188/IPC 11 PCA Act has been registered at police station Budhal.
