Advisor Sharma urges people to take full benefit of B2V3 program

KATHUA, Sept 30: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, K.K Sharma today called upon the people to take full benefit of Jan Abhiyan and Back to Village - Phase3 program, which forms the government's considerate move to take the governance at the doorsteps of the people.
The twin campaigns, he said have been launched for speedy redress of public grievances and meet the developmental aspirations of the people
The Advisor was interacting with people at Dharalta and Baggan panchayats of tehsil Billawar on 3rd Block Diwas proceedings held under B2V-3 -Jan Abhiyan Campaign.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Billawar, Sandesh Kumar Sharma, district and sectoral level officers were also present at the Block Diwas proceedings presided over by the Advisor.
The Advisor gave patient hearing to the people and passed directions to the concerned departments to redress the same within given time.
Terming public participation key for bringing qualitative change in the lives of rural populace, the Advisor said Jan Abhiyan & B2V-3 were devised to involve all stakeholders by listening and redressing their grievances besides working together for bringing development as per people's aspirations.
He said people's participation in Jan Abhiyan is two way effort of government as well as people to achieve development goals.
"The purpose of 21 days Jan Abhiyan was to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries get the benefit of government sponsored schemes and speedy delivery of Domicile, category, income and other certificates which are necessary to avail such schemes", the Advisor explained.
While responding to the demand for restoration of halted works, the Advisor directed the officers to make every possible effort to complete sanctioned projects on priority. He further asked them to remove bottlenecks especially works already sanctioned under MGNREGA and District Plan schemes.
During the programme, BDC Billawar and BDC Baggan projected their issues before the Advisor which were related to the development of panchayats of their respective blocks.
The Advisor also distributed Domicile, Income and Category Certificates to the applicants at Dhralta camp.
