Administrative Secretary listens to public issues at Batote

Ramban, Sept 30: Administrative Secretary, Department of Tribal Affairs, Rehana Batul who is also the incharge secretary for District Ramban today listened to the public issues at Batote during Block Diwas under Jan-Abhiyan focused on mission delivering development and good governance.
She advised the PRIs to avail the advantage from Back to village programes as it’s a massive information collection programme.
DDC, Nazim Zai Khan, BDC, Chairperson, Rajeshwar Kumar, SSP, Haseeb Ur Rehman, ADC, Ashok Sharma, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, various district and sectoral officers besides PRIs and general public in good strength attended the programme.
Responding to the demands, the Secretary directed the DSWO to accommodate the applicants against weed out cases for pension benefits under different schemes. CEO was directed to conduct a safety audit of school buildings identified by the PRIs.
She directed the district administration to ensure rehabilitation of all affected families of Dhalwas landslide before the start of snow season. She also directed the officers of all departments to improve the public service delivery system to provide benefits of all social as well as development schemes to the public at their doorstep.
She asked the DDC to resolve all their genuine issues on priority basis besides assuring them their rest of issue including re- delimitation of Patnitop Development Authority’s boundaries would be taken up with higher authorities in the interest of Panchyats’ development.
She directed the education department to start community as well as virtual classes to facilitate the student community.
She impressed upon the officers as well as PRIs to work with close coordination to expedite the development process in their respective Panchyats. She also handed over the KCC and sports kits to local youth to promote sports activities. Officers were directed to respond to the PRIs according to guidelines to strengthen coordination between departments and PRIs.
DDC asked the PRIs to highlight their demands in B2V3 to formulate an effective GPDP plan for ensuring overall development of their areas. He said the administration is going to starte 14 new AADHAR centers in different blocks.
He assured the public that the start of adventure tourism in Baglihar Dam would be taken up with concerned authorities.
During the public hearing many issues were resolved on the spot and the rest forwarded to the concerned departments for its redressal through an established tracking system.
Various PRIs and individuals apprised the secretary about their issues faced by them including availability of potable drinking water, rehabilitation of affected families, old age pensions, completion and upgradation of roads, augmentation of power infrastructure, opening TRC, Overhead, foot and motorable bridges, renovation of Dackbanglow Batote, issuance of BPL ration cards to deserved families, employment for youth in ongoing national projects and other issues of public interest.
