2 Agri officers suspended for running Crypto Currency business in Dubai

Srinagar, Sept 30: Two agriculture officers posted in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district were placed under suspension on Wednesday on the charges of running Crypto Currency business in Dubai.
“We have received a complaint from the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor’s Office against the officer in which the complainant has leveled serious charges against the officers. Because the charges were of serious nature we immediately suspended both the officers and initiated an enquiry against them,” Director Agriculture Altaf Andrabi told Early Times.
Both the officers, he said, were accused of running Crypto Currency business in Dubai and other businesses illegally.
“We may also forward this case to the Crime Branch as one the accused has acquired permanent resident number [Emirates Identification Number],” he added. The officer has allegedly looted a number of people in the name of Crypto Currency business According to complaint, a copy of which lies Early Times reveal, Agriculture officer, a resident of Pattan Baramullah currently posted in Lalpora Tangmarg is running a business in Dubai under the name and style of ASSERO RARE ROCKS despite being a government employee in Jammu and Kashmir.
The complainant claims that the officer has Emirates Identification Number which means that he is the resident of Dubai and doesn’t require a visa for travel.
He says that the officer more often visits Dubai for business purposes without informing the department. “If passport of this officer is confiscated it will spring surprises,” he said..
He alleged that the officer is also running a business in Delhi under the name and style of ASSERO RARE ROCKS and heads another business venture MTM Digital Services Private Limited in Srinagar.
The officer, he said, is a core member of GCG one of the Crypto Currency firms and has shares in Holiday Hutzz and Crypto Bulls Exchange-a Crypto Currency firm based in Dubai.
“On the name of Crypto Currency this person has looted people in India and abroad. Videos showing him motivating people can be checked on YouTube,” he alleged.
The officer according to complaint has also looted people in Kashmir. “He promised people to provide them all kinds of agro as he also runs agro business under the name of APPLE PLANET but he never provided them that material nor paid them back,” reads the complaint.
